FEELING DOWN??

Ok, we have been talking about networking and asking for help, but many of you also admit that you are in a down mood.  Well, it's time to take a break from job hunting.

Refresh your spirit and attitude by doing what you love - shop, play golf or whatever, visit family and friends, take a walk with your dog, etc.  Remember you won't accomplish what you want in a negative state - so give yourself a break with no guilt attached.

Talk to me and have a great weekend.

Networking is truly the key to most decisions we make. Moved recently? You asked for advice (help) finding a doctor, the best school, neighborhood, etc. etc. When it comes to your career ask for advice, not for a job. There is a 180 degree difference between the two. I've been a Career Coach for 20+ years. For 90%+ of my clients, it is knowing someone who knows someone who makes an introduction on your behalf. Don't give up.

Dr. Bamster, I am a professional resume writer specializing in projects for executives. Your post is timely because I just had a prospective client contact me who was in a bad, terrible, upset mood. He was angry about a recent organizational change which left him jobless. He was more than irritated with his boss. He had a whole bunch of issues. Listen, we all understand being fired is a horrible, ego-busting situation. In a situation like this, or when you're down for any reason, take some time for yourself. It's absolutely necessary to do before you even think about your next move in the working world.
