After being away and talking with a lot of you in the 50+ stage of life, I observed that some of you are having a difficult time with "flexibility".  Now what do I mean by "flexibility"?

Basically, some of you looking for full- or part-time work are viewing things as former managers, etc.  You expect quick responses and being shown a certain level of respect.  In fact, some of you accepting consulting assignments, view being deferential to you employers as unacceptable. 

If you are aware that you are perhaps too rigid, it is time to step back and get a good view of today's workplace.  Relax, you are no longer the boss.  If you are on assignment, fit in and do a great job!  Concentrate on the work, not the politics. 

So, flex alittle...you might like it!
